Sounds like you need to do a little bit more kissing :) I actually have no idea if that is a myth or not. Good Luck!
I've heard it can be cuz your body may be a little dehydrated. Try drinking more water and see if that helps. I hate it when mine are chapped, I've stated using Burt's Bees chapstick and love love love it.
I have no idea what causes that. When we moved to Utah I always had chapped lips and had what felt like the never cold. I guess you just have to get used to the different humidity again. Try a lip mask.
